The Intimidating TBR Book Tag

I thought I would do another TAG and remembered the intimidating TBR tag from a while back created by Lindsey Rey. Hopefully this will give me a bit of a push to read some of the books I keep putting off.

Of course if you haven't done this one yet (although it's so old I suspect you have) then I tag you!!
1. What book have you been unable to finish?

I would have to go with Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes. I have tried to read this a couple of times but have yet to get past the first 75ish pages. I like what I have read so far but I keep putting it down to read other things. I will definintely keep trying as I do own the whole series.

2. What book have you yet to read because you just haven't had the time?

Dombey and Son by Charles Dickens is over 1,000 pages and I tend to take longer reading classics so I need to set aside some time to get into this one.

3. What book have you yet to read because it's a sequel?

Deliverance by C. J. Redwine, not because I don't want to read it but I brought this, got home and realised it's book 3 and I haven't read nor do I own books 1 & 2.

4. What book have you yet to read because it's brand new?

Not a new release but the newest book that I have purchased is Violet Grenade by Victoria Scott.

5. What book have you yet to read because you read a book by the same author and didn't enjoy it?

The Folding Star by Alan Hollinghurst. I read The Sparsholt Affair by him and really struggled to get through it, which I think is why I keep putting off reading this one

6. What book have you yet to read because you're just not in the mood for it?

Sleeping Beauties by Stephen & Owen King. I actually pre-ordered this one, but am still yet to read it. Everytime I go to pick it up I think 'no I'll read that next time' but next time still hasn't arrived.

7. What book have you yet to read because it's humongous?

I had a surprising large amount of books to choose from for this one but I decided to go for The Eye Of The World by Robert Jordan. I don't think it's just the size of the book itself but the size of the whole series in general.

8. What book have you yet to read because it was a cover buy that turned out to have poor reviews?

I don't often but books solely based on the cover but I remember I did buy These Vicious Masks by Tarun Shanker & Kelly Zekas a while back (I mean just look at it). I still intend on reading this one as the synopsis sounds good.

9. What is the most intimidating book in your TBR pile?

Definitely going to have to go with The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton. I don't really know why but this book really intimidates me. It's historical fiction, has mystery and is over 800 pages long, I mean who wouldn't be intimidated.

Of course if you haven't done this one yet (although it's so old I suspect you have) then I tag you!!

So what is the most intimidating book on your TBR?
